This millet is suitable for people of all age groups. Is mostly consumed as rice and any recipe that can be made from staple rice can be prepared using this millet. The grains are very small. It cooks much faster than all other millets.
Little millet provides nutraceutical components such as phenols, tannins and phytates along with other nutrients. Has about 37% of dietary fibre and is also very high in iron. Flavonoids present in it act as antioxidants and helps boost immunity.
