Made with wheat soaked and ground afresh, aromatic and unadulterated clarified butter (ghee), sugar and the magical minerals-rich water of the river Thamirabharani, this halwa has defied the sands of time and has been an eternal favourite of both locals and tourists alike, giving an identity to its place of origin itself! Many a shop have tried to emulate this halwa, but they barely offer consolation if we cannot get our share of the delicious, hot, slimy Iruttu kadai halwa that melts in the mouth!!"
